Hicoo has been featured on this blog quite a few times. Hailing from China there products have been pretty prevalent here in the American scene thanks to Yo-Yo Nation. They seem to have a pretty good head on there shoulders as far as visual design and packaging. The actual functionality of some of there products leave a bit ot be desired though.
Audley is another big player in the asian yo-yo market. Although a lot of there products (read: most) have been bootlegs, now it seems they have joined forces with Hicoo to produce some original pieces.

The Inca has a nice curved butterfly shape with some very interesting laser engraving. Also, I’m really inpressed with the nipple area. Its very reminiscent of ancient Inca temples. Nice touch!

Next up is the Virus. This has a nice twist on the G5/H shaped profile. Really nice curves and shape.

Finally is the L3. Designed by Luo Yi-cheng. Hubstacks, less innovative shape. But looks like an all around good player. But damn good packaging!
With Hicoo’s long running track record with international stores, and Audleys SUPER low cost, it will be interesting to see if these pop up state side.
Check out ModerLove’s post over at Yo-Yo Nation for more pictures and info.
Those look great. I hope I get to play with either of them someday soon.
I would love to get my hands on some of those just to be able to play with them. I still want one of those bootleg darkmagics.
Pretty awesome:)
I want to play all 3 of them so bad. Especially the L3.
Wasn’t there a yo-yo named Inca several years ago?
Love the shape on the Virus. Such a 90’s name, though.
And look at Takuto all sexy on that packaging!
Kudos to Auldey for coming up with new stuff!
Auldey are a giant waiting to happen. The fact they have blatantly copied stuff in the past still makes me queasy.
Changes are comin to the yo-yo manufacturer/retailer scene….
The virus looks especially hot to me.
Auldey and Yo-Yo Factory are the reason that Yomega and Duncan’s international sales will never amount to sh*t. Yomega had that market, and Alan Nagao was kind enough to destroy it for them. Playmaxx gobbled it up, piece by piece, and when the dust settled Hans had all the contacts and no one else had a clue.
If Auldey moves into the “original design” game and stops being just a knock-off company, it would be a seismic shift in international yo-yo promotions.
It’ll be interesting to see how this pans out…
The l3 is an amazing throw. I played with one for a good hour all up I say, both rsponsive and un, and it is magic in its own rights. Better for me than any antiyo or clyw Ive played. Smooth as butta.
They really have stepped it up with this yoyo, and If that is anything to go by, the virus might just be my next yoyo. I love the shape.
vooov! Great
