The Meteor. Mickey’s newest signature yo-yo. Same Shinny Caps. Different shape.
Looks like they are borrowing the 888 rim design.
I guess once more people try it there will be more info about it.

Wait until it comes out and theres more then two pictures of it, then if it looks like shit, I’ll be right there with ya.
looks like plastic with anodized rims…. basically looks like an Xconvict to me. I kind of like it. I can’t really knock yoyojam for making a yo-yo that’s similar to ones they already make… I’ll give it the thumbs-up.
lately it’s all about looks for me… they all play the same.
When YYJ release a really good, nicely playing metal yoyo i’ll start to get excited about their new ones
I really want to see the finish product. And at least a profile pic of it.
I loved the Axiom and it really surpassed what I though of it.
We have to wait and see I supposed.
I love that everyone gets up-in-arms as soon as someone points out the YYJs are ugly.
They’ve always been ugly. That’s not news.
What is news is that they are just now, slowly, dipping their toes in the metal market. I’m kind of amazed (ok, not really) that it’s taken them so long.
All distaste aside, they did some innovating right out of the gate as far as hybrid materials in yo-yos. The question I guess is….are they too far behind to do the same in metal?
I think we’ll all just have to get over the ugliness factor. They obviously don’t really care, or just have the worst taste ever. Luckily, the caps can be removed, and things can be painted.
I’d say it was ugly but I can only see the pogs… Give me more photos and then I can make my judgment.
Not every yoyo can be as pretty as the Steve Brown ed. 888 ;).

I think they are way too late.
If they attempted this 2 or 3 years ago, they could probably get much better replies to this, since everyone was into the whole “silicone grooved metal” untill companies worked their way around it. Now it isn’t that special. The whole line of YYF uses silicone grooves….

it’s a all metal speeder, so it’s same shap, different cap. it was stated in his blog. whether or not it’s ugly is very subjective. you wouldn’t go straight to an ugly stranger and say “you are so ugly!”, would you?! show some respect, plz.
