Our very own hipster punks Steve and Marlee Brown are going to be filming for ABC’s Wife Swap! Looking forward to seeing a suburban housewife try to deal with Steve and help run their newly opened store, Shoparooni while some suit gets hella awkward around a tattooed punk rock queen. If Steve’s words are any indication of whats about to happen on national television…

Let’s hope that the swapping family doesn’t find this post. That photo alone would be enough to scare me off.
We don’t know what family we are swapping with, and neither do they. We aren’t even totally sure on the dates of the shoot. All we know is that we got a “thumbs up” and it’s going to film sometime in March or April. The “mid-March” thing was erroneously based off something completely different I was glancing at on my calendar when I was chatting with Seth.
So there’s a two-month window when we’ll be filming, and we have no idea of an air date. Really, we know very little about how the whole thing will go down, and that’s largely intentional…we want to be surprised, and we want the whole thing to be totally fun and interesting! I mean, really…how often does anyone get a chance to do something this weird?
I just hope that ABC doesn’t try to play off yo-yoing as a childish hobby, but it’s inevitable. Either way, it’s awesome- yo-yo related or not.
I don’t know how they’re going to handle it. But everyone I talked to there seemed to think it was pretty cool.
My gf makes me watch this show everytime there is a new episode on and that makes me sad. This sounds like it’ll be as good as the pirate family episode and that will make me happy. Yarrr

That was taken in the airport en route to San Francisco last year for our anniversary. Our flight was cancelled, and then the second flight was delayed. We were overjoyed. Heh.
Wow, I don’t generally watch wife swap, but I really hope to see you unleash the insanity. People have said that they’ll let loose on whatever on tv and have kind of copped out and not even acted themselves once the occasion struck.
Not saying that’s going to be the case though. I am totally stoked about this anyway. I’m sure the kids of the victim family will be totally in awe of your skills.
