See a bigger version here. The Hayabusa is the middle row far right. Green with yellow caps is hella classy! Can’t wait to see the logoed caps.

Read our first report of it here.

Also, check out the new colorways for the FHZ and Mosquito. Production orange FHZ, anyone?

Duncan has teamed up with another toy company, Back to Basics, to bring you this great idea. It’s called the Duncan Evolution Set..

picture thanks to yoyoguy.com

It comes with 4 yo-yos that span past present and future of Duncan’s yo-yo production… Wooden Tournament and Satellite from the past. The plastic Imperial for the present. And the Metal Zero as a look at the future of Duncan.

The details of this pack is what really sets it apart. First the packaging is very classic. Natural wood finish with the iconic Duncan Eagle crest. And with the patch and trick book, really a knock out set.

Purple seems to be the new ‘it’ color for yo-yos, Trainwreck, purple ‘08 888s, Bad Rep etc. But this Bear vs. Man is on an entirely new level. CLYW has really gotten the splatter anodizing RIGHT with the first run of B vs M and the 28 Stories Peak/B vs M set. But the silver splash on deep purple looks awesome!

This is also the first time CLYW has done laser engraving. At first I wasn’t a super big fan of it on this yo-yo. But now seeing it on the deep purple the simple text (originally CLYW’s text) really fits this very classic looking yo-yo.
So head over to theAYYA and become a member so you can be one of the few to buy this!

Yo-Yo Jam Axiom.

Best YYJ caps/artwork since the Matrixx;)

A lot of the features on this yo-yo are reminiscent of another very popular yo-yo right now. Ben Mcphee of Yo-Yo Factory may have eluded to this in an October 18th post titled “Immagination…”. At least Yo-Yo Jam is taking steps to keep current with yo-yo market trends. But I fear this open market of aluminum yo-yos will be dwindling down and only the strong and established will be holding there own. More info will be available on the newest Yo-Yo Radio Podcast.

Also BIG congrats to Andre and Devon on their engagement!

A quick glance at Duncan’s Myspace yielded this juicy tidbit…

The Takeshi Signature Freehand Zero! Made in awesome purple enyo with awesome cap artwork! The pictures say February 22, so i can only speculate that this might be some web-exclusive at Duncan? This will be a great precursor to The Really Big Short Film Festival were Takeshi’s short “Naptown 2005″ will be shown in an IMAX screen!

Also on Duncan’s myspace was this picture of a Counterweight set. It will be nice to finally be able to buy just the counterweights… after 7 years of the Freehand yo-yo being out.

Well for all you lazy ass rich kids out there, THIS is for you. All the company assets for American Spinners! Never heard of it? According to Yo-Yo Wiki They stared in 1988. ONLY made 1 piece classic shaped yo-yos till around 1999. Also, in the description they said it was used to win world and national championships, which is true. Bill DeB used them to win Worlds and Nats in both 1994 and 1995. Also American Spinners used female models to try and sell there yo-yos, just like Hspin does now.

Also, no, I didn’t write the description on eBay for them. Their grammar is just that bad!

All this can be yours for $25,000! what a steal!

This is the yo-yo I’ve been waiting for since the Fluchs came out. A full sized, Fluchs inspired Anti-Yo, The Ywet (left). Thanks to the current NorCal Anti-Yo X Division Champion Boxthor for posting the picture. From what he told me the Ywet has an interesting new response set up. Its like the classic o ring set up but there are 2 sets of o rings instead of 1. this means you can customize the response of the yo-yo by adding or taking away o rings. It will be sold with 3 (2 on one side 1 on the other) which makes the yo-yo tug responsive. It also features an axle system similar to new Dif-e-Yos or Yo-Yo Factory’s where the bearing sits it a seat on the body of the yo-yo and a smaller diameter axle connects the 2 halve.

Our very own hipster punks Steve and Marlee Brown are going to be filming for ABC’s Wife Swap! Looking forward to seeing a suburban housewife try to deal with Steve and help run their newly opened store, Shoparooni while some suit gets hella awkward around a tattooed punk rock queen. If Steve’s words are any indication of whats about to happen on national television…

“This is going to be the silliest and most fun thing I’ve ever done. And considering how much silly shit I’ve done in my life, that’s pretty massive.”

Oh Shit! There goes the neighborhood!

Dave and I have been frantically running around the eastern half of the country filming and hanging out at Madfest and ECC. If you didn’t get a chance to make it to either of those contest, I’m sorry, and you missed a bunch of new Save Deth merch!

Chapter 2 is kind of a midpoint for us. In August we released Volume 1 and you guys were really into it. So we wanted to get another video out, so here it is, Chapter 2. Not quite worth of a Volume title, it’s a little shorter and is mainly trick videos of some of your favorite players, and interviews from some of your favorite filming/screen printing indie kids.

We also have a bunch of new t-shirts and some hoodies. Check out SaveDeth.com for a look at all the new clothing.
