Another Hspin update on a classic

It will be interesting to see how the Pyro Light does. It seemed like the Envy (and Envy 64) were really hyped but nothing really came of it. Maybe that had to do with the G5 taking some of there steam?
Hspin has always been good at making there graphics very clean and contemporary. Shit, if they can make flames on a yo-yo look good, they’ve got some talent.

Why did they make it the same colors as the Bu$ine$$?
I was, like good Mr. Higby, hoping for the Diet Coke can colors. It was so clever. I’m sure it’s still a killer yo-yo, but, you know, a little disappointed anyways.
Yeah. I think that was kind of a bad call on Chris’ part. He was referring to weight, but he used imagery that pushed everyone’s mind in a different direction.
Gotta be careful comparing your brand to one that is iconic. Suddenly it becomes really hard to control your customer bases’ expectations.
Ugh. I can’t turn this shit off!!!
That Coke Can add was really brilliant I thought as that question mark really had the mind imagining a silver yo-yo with red flames. I think it should have been a TAB can now that I see this design. Maybe I’m just too visual a person.
my biggest question did it take Hspin almost 2 years to do this?
And why didn’t they call it Hspin x Dif-e-Yo? http://www.yoyoing.com/news/viewpost.php?post=206039 Frank defiantly made these with in a month of the Pyro’s original release?
To finish my littel rant. whats the deal with making a yo-yo then lightening it a little bit and calling it something new? Envy to Envy 64… now this? When did hspin get bought out by yoyojam or buzz on?
I can’t speak for HSpin, but they’re just trying to meet the customer’s demands. Most HSpins are more experimental designs, not specifically designed with freestyling in mind. So when freestyling customers ask for a freestyle-able revision, it gets complicated to fit within both parameters or design and function. It’s as if a King were to try and live as a peasant.
But I would not equate this with YYJ or Buzz-on, because HSpin actually has altered the design. And they’re not calling it something new, Envy 64 and Pyro Light make it very clear that it is the 2nd generation. It is easily deduced that the Envy 64 is a 64 gram Envy, and the Pyro Light is a lighter Pyro.
Well, they can’t just call it a pyro because it isn’t a pyro at all. It’s a slimmer pyro, wait, a lighter pyro. Pyro Light. It’s just easier to say that, compared to, “that one version of the pyro that weighs less”
