Spencer Berry’s first video of new tricks since late 2002. It’s been well worth the wait.
Green Triangles has a high quality download and a bit of an explanation.

So, we didn’t do a live show last week. Instead, Steve Brown and I recorded a podcast and put it up, as kinda a Easter Egg for those who’ve subscribed to the podcast feed on Itunes. You didn’t? Shame on you, visit yoyoradio.net and click on the subscribe button.
While there, download last week’s podcast with Steve Brown, where he disses on Shoparooni, the current state of 5A and does an impression of JonRob on the phone with his wife. Also download this week’s show, where I talked to Aidan Orange about his appearance in Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium as a yo-yoer. Nathan Crissey co-hosts and I also spoke to Tyler Severance about his upcoming East Coast Classic Contest.
I just wrote this post over on the YoYoGuy blog (remember that?). Check out this dude who claims he single-handedly created the 1998 yo-yo boom. “I created the yo-yo craze of 1998, taking Yomega Yo-Yos from $8mm to over $110,000,000 in a SINGLE YEAR.” Funny, I’ve never heard of him.
Head over to This Thread over at Yo-Yo Nation and check out all 9 of the the yo-yoing being cranked out!

Look at the width of this one! Aluminum Diabolo is what first comes to mind!
thanks to Adam from pointing this thread out!
This round of bootlegs hits a little closer to home. Now, instead of ripping off bigger manufacturers like Duncan, Yo-Yo Jam and Yo-Yo Factory, Auldey’s is taking yo-yos from our grass roots metal yo-yo manufacturers like SPYY and Dif-E-Yo!

Pretty detailed packaging.

First the SPYY knock off. Complete with death spikes.

Silicone O rings and concaved bearing.

L2 rip off. If your unfamiliar with the L2 here was the yoyo2 post The red one was the AP pre release L2. Guess Auldey’s pick one up at the event and decided it would be good to try and run a small run metal manufacturer in there area out of business?

The details these guy get down to is crazy! the little groove around the inside of the rim’s are even identical.

Now for the Dif e Yo. They even throw in a blue weight ring and brand the yo-yo exactly were Dif E Yo does.

Another look at the packaging.
Check out my Flickr for more pictures of each and bigger versions. Thanks to Dimi for hooking up these pictures.
The newst Delrin yo-yo has dropped over at Yo-Yo Guy. The Gung Fu (previously called the Fast Fu) by Death by Yo.
Death by Yo has overcome one of the major pit falls of delrin yo-yos. Colors. Colored delrin is hard to find in smaller quantities for a run of yo-yos. Thus you usually see just white and black. Or a higher price for colored ones like the Born Crucial Milk. Death by Yo’s approach is hand dying there yo-yos. While it defiantly doesn’t have the same solid color, or color retention, as a colored delrin yo-yo would, its a nice change from plain whites and blacks.
Another feature of the Gung Fu is a silicone o ring groove and a slight recess for a pad. Best of both worlds?

More super affordable versions of the Freehand Zero, 888 and a hitman/black knight hybrid.
Thanks to PCU for posting this at Yo-Yo Nation.
here are a few pictures of the yo-yos…

Concave Bearing too huh?

These come with h-spin sized bearings and stock silicone. Hells ya!

This looks a LOT like a mod Dave Poyzer made with a Bolt and Zombie rims. Or a Dark Knight/Hitman?
I few new generations of the Yo-Yo Factory 888 have been floating around

First the “Aussie” 888. The face has been taken taken down a little to make the yo-yo slightly thinner

Then theres the ‘08 888… A little heavier 888 set for a 2008 release…

If you look at the post a few posts down Z-Stacks, who cares I see plastic Speed Dials! the top row are versions of these… And, correct me if I’m wrong but i believe Miguel used one in his 5A Freestyle.
Check the freestyle out:

So if your not at National’s, But want to see whats going on there check out Dop Pop’s Live Blog @ Flickr. He’s updating it often and has some really awesome pictures like the one above of the new Z-Stacks. And also check out ~Michelle’s PhotoBucket. Thanks guys!

Blah Blah Blah… Z Stacks? Looks like bigger molded t-shacks? Cool enough!
But what are those white yo-yos in the bottom right and left corners? That look plastic, and they’ve got dials! Looks like maybe? Finally? Plastic Dial yo-yos! Can’t wait for a sick $10 dial adjustable yo-yo. Thanks Hans and Ben.
