Silly Yo-Yo Jam, hub stacks are for kids
Sep 27th, 2007 by $eth

Looks like Yo-Yo Jam is jumping on the hub stack band wagon. From what I understand a large sized bearing fits over the nipple. Then you buy a “Sprokit”… which are there fancy names for hub stacks, only after you buy the bearings to go with it.
Now for some fun rumors about these…
1. the sprokits wobble.
2. the nipples STILL break easy, even after more plastic has been added to the area.
3. there new “more stable” plastic still cracks and wobbles.
Just rumors mind you. Anyone have any experience with either?

It’s typical. They will crack too ! I don’t think they will work very well. How the hell are you going to secure the bearing to the nipple with out it slipping off or turning off axis. Of course it’s going to wobble like a drunk, there is nothing to keep it stable.
I finally get to see a pic of the elusive “sprokits.”
not impressed.
That is craziness.
I have no faith in this product, after the protos I tried. I’m guessing they will get the wobble issues sorted…but the whole setup just didn’t seem too stable or reliable.
Oh well. Not my problem.
On the protos, the wobble and durability issues were directly related (they started wobbling when they were about to die).
AFAIK, no one has used the next design since it’s not done yet so I don’t know why there’s so many rumors about it.

Duh. There are rumors BECAUSE no one has used it yet. If they had used it then there wouldn’t be rumors…there would be REVIEWS.
And you’re in college?
it looks unstable, i dunno if anybody would buy that it looks ulgy
