Bomb $hit P****

The first pictures of the BSP have been released by Jake of the Anti-Yo crew. Titanium never looked so sweet…

As promised, a new axle system is being used for the BPS. This new axle set up uses a screw on both sides to hold the axle sleeve in place which in turn keeps the axle centered, which means no tinkering with the axle to get it to spin perfect!

The shape is pretty interesting. Following in a trend of angles over curves, looks pretty nice. The BSP will be in the $350 range, and about 150 will be made. They will come with duel toned sides with a special surprise coating.

Oops…
The article says “a screw on both sides to hold the axle sleeve.” So the axle sleeve is a separate piece from the yo-yo halves. Is this correct?
When I first looked at it, I thought that one half of the yo had the long axle sleeve as part of the half. And the other half you would use one screw to screw into the axle sleeve. I thought there would be an A and a B half for each yo.
It think it makes more sense to have two of the same half with a separate axle sleeve as described in the article. But if that can be confirmed, that would be great. Thanks!

in this post jake says “there are screws on both sides”… so im pretty sure the axle sleeve is separate from either side and held in by the screws
$eth is right on, both halves are identical with axle sleeve fitting in-between them.

are the axle sleeves titanium too? I suspect the reason for the sleeves is because titanium is hard to tap for screws.
So you will need a screw driver to tighten this yo-yo together so it doesn’t fall apart. And to take it apart. Is that correct?
This design is interesting. I’m sure Jake has played this thing very hard and that the axle screws keep the yo-yo together.
you do not need a screw driver to put the yoyo together.
yeah, no screwdrivers necessary. stays together fine. really durable too, it’s hit concrete a few times and fallen in a pond but theres not a scratch on it.
I want.
Too bad I have children. Which means there is no way in hell I can afford this.
i have children (well one with one on the way).
