Shuriken Throwdown
Sep 19th, 2007 by $eth
Nate just dropped me an email with some pretty dope stuff in it….

The Shurinken is Throwdown’s new mini yo-yo. It is 1.65″ tall and 1.16″ wide, uses a Dif-e-Yo konkave bearing, and dif pads.

And… its made of steel! But the fun doesn’t stop there, final runs will have a maganese phosphate coating. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds fucking awesome!

Throwdown also mentioned a yo-yo there calling the Lucha Lebre, it was described as a delrin Luchador? sounds pretty neat. No other info on that, but stay tuned, Nate has PROMISED us a first look at it in weeks to come.

Delrin pix are on the yyn board
manganese phosphate…think Gun Barrels. Real soft and a nice dark onyx.
all of these minis… and every one of them looks very well thought out and machined.
I guess I’ll just have to buy all of them.
I REALLY like this one, though.
LOL, the delrin version of the Luchador will be called the Lucha Libre, not the Lucha Loco but I kinda like Lucha Loco so I’ll put that on my list of possible names for future incarnations of the Luchador. The pics on YYN of them are of the very first version proto while I have a second version proto in my hands. I’ll send Seth some pics of them after I get back from IN states this weekend, I just have too much to get done before I go.
For those too lazy to find it themselves:

When will the mini be resleased? And what site will have the exclusive?
the shuriken is the best really-small yo-yo i’ve ever played.
by far.
Shuriken is pretty decent. Coupla quibbles on my end, but that’s to be expected. I’m a jerk.
All opinions reserved until after they make their changes, and I try actual production.
