New Peak run!
Aug 30th, 2007 by $eth

Sick new colorway! can’t wait to try and get my hands on one of these. The Peaks are my 2nd favorite yo-yo, second only to the Fluchs.
The colorway is very symbolic. Chris had this to say about it:
“www.28stories.com it’s a book about the AIDS pandemic in Africa. 1 story
for each million people who have AIDS in Africa…it’s very scary about how
out of control it is there.”
It’s great to see companies taking a step and raising awareness of something we should all know more about.

Wow man, thats beautiful & also the first yo-yo I’ve ever seen that has “a message.”
Really, really great work.
So, uhhh is there money going to AIDs or money to subsidize the cost of the book or will I get a free book or is the red just something to make the creator and/or owner of the yoyo get a warm and fuzzy feeling since it has a “message”. If more companies would just put their money where their mouth is then maybe we would have a breakthrough in AIDs research and figure out how it spreads from person to person. Until then, it will continue to be a mystery and then everyone will just have AIDs.
A portion of the profit from the yo-yos is going to AIDS research and/or 28 stories as far as i understood it. which makes everyone who buys, plays or makes the yo-yo warm and fuzzy
I will be sending part of the proceeds to an organization that works directly with people in Africa. I talked to Stephanie Nolen, the author of 28 Stories and she recommended some. I’m still working on picking one. I will release all the info and then alter how much money was raised as soon as I have everything confirmed. It’s not just a “message” it’s a pandemic and millions of people are dieing…I want to do my part. Even if this is only going to help just a handful of people in Africa…maybe there is a chance that other people will want to help as well. It’s no mystery how AIDs spreads…it’s about educating people that don’t know.
