Anyone?

Obviously I can’t put as much time into yoyo2 as I’d like, so I’m wondering if there is anyone out there (maybe a few people) who would be interested in taking the brunt of searching for new yo-yos and stuff, please email me HERE

thanks

YoYoFactory is about to release 110 small bearing eight8eights to a limited number of retailers. Ben has not released the information where these will be found yet, but some were available at Pier Kites this past Sunday. These will be released in two color schemes – 75 in contest team colors and 35 in silver. Ben has promised that “there is something cool on this yo-yo.” Check here for details.

Tune in for the latest live edition of YoYos Coast to Coast – tonight, 9:30 pm East Coast Time. It could be one of the last live shows we do, as one of our topics tonight is tomorrow’s Internet Radio “Day of Silence” protesting the recent 300 percent rate hikes for Internet Radio station royalties. Plus, we’ll wrap up MidWest Regionals, hopefully catch up on the drama that is the Ramen Tour 2007, plus do silly crap.

All tonight on YoYos Coast to Coast! at YoYoRadio.net

Episode 29 is a delightful little romp that explores forum moderatorship, invisible man videos, Duncan yo-yo firing its last engineer, and light discussion on the topic of Mr. Babasche viper rip-offs.  Thanks to forum hero Aaron Bemis for being such a congenial and freshly showered guest who, despite 45 minutes of recording, never swore once.

You heard it here first!  Doctor Popular and I, the illustrious Josh Parker, discuss the news of the week from the Yo-yo world with the help of Joe Mitchell (from that other yo-yo related audio thingy).  Topics include Halloween in June, Why is the Kickin Tricks Page on Yo-Yo Wiki so terrible and inaccurate?  And of course Doc plugs whatever BS project he’s working on.  PLUS!  The first ever four way Name That Yo-Yo featuring Josh Jessen!

Looks like 10 year after the auto return fad came and went, Duncan has released one. The Reflex.

Interested that there is a friction sticker on one side.
*Thanks to yotoy over at Yo-Yo Nation’s Forum for these pictures.*

Remember that tour that Jack, Red and Bride went on a LONG time ago? Remember how they put out videos a few months after the tour, and then the site just, disappeared?

Well if you’ve been wondering were it all went, check here.

This summer has given a lot of opportunity to go outside and enjoy the nice warm weather which means I shirk some responsibility sometimes.  So here are the last three episodes of the Yo-Yo Wiki Podcast for your enjoyment.

Episode 25
Doctor Popular and Josh Parker discuss the current yo-yo stories of the day and have a little bit of fun too.

Episode 26
Ed Haponik sits in with Josh Parker and Doctor Popular to add an opposing view of Pirate of the Caribean 3, I guess he liked it.  Plus 28 Days of Yo and Why can’t they make a good blinky light yo-yo?

Episode 27
Featuring Ben Gates, the unstoppable TAB! We discuss WTF ExtremeSpin?  Proyonium, is it bullet proof?  And is Ben Gates related to John Gates?  Find out here first!

Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast in iTunes.

Yo-Yo Jam’s newest in the HG series, K-os, is Eric Koloski’s signature yo-yo. A little bigger then a minimotu, and has a wide, flat shape. The K-os was first released at NER in early May, full release was june 1st.

Eye CU

Just got an email this morning with some interesting pictures in it….

The only Info that was given to me was the name, CU, and these specs….
1.5″ in dia. 1.15″ thick
about 66gm.
No hub bump. You can thumb grind with this [a lot easier] since there is no hub bump.
Bind response.

I don’t know if its a translation issue, but I’m guessing “Bind Response” means it will be unresponsive (needs a bind). not a new response called “Bind” response.

My only concern is the threading of the yo-yo. As you can see in the first picture the axle actually comes out the side of the body. I assume the maker has taken into consideration the adequate number of threads. I’d be interested in seeing a picture of the axle/threading rig?
