Yes, it’s hard to believe, isn’t it? It’s finally going to happen, merely a month or so since our last show, YoYos Coast to Coast will actually go on the air tonight! We have topics, we have recorded stuff from PA States  – including our first conversation with Yo-Yo legend Shawn Fumo and Matt Cahill, plus conversations with the newest Duncan US Crew member – Drew Tetz, we get the whole sordid story from James Keenan on his horrible fire that burned down his family’s house, plus we talk to Ky Zizan, Jake Bullock, Mikhail Tulabut, Samm Scott and Tim Redmond! All tonight on YoYos Coast to Coast – LIVE at 9:30 (East Coast Time) at YoYoRadio.net

Just found this pic online. Apparently the Sumo suffers from BIO Syndrome.

Bad machining. :(

In this episode of the Yo-Yo Wiki Podcast, Doctor Popular and Josh Parker discuss Seth Peterson and his departure from the Duncan Crew.  Plus censorship in the yo-yo community and other things of interest.  Josh Parker is running out of yo-yos to use for the Name that Yo-Yo Segment, so if you have one that you’d like to give up, let me know ;)

You may have read about James Keenan’s recent tragic events – his
house burned down and he lost three dogs as well as just about
everything he owns and has been forced to withdraw from his spring
semester classes. You can read James’ full account of the fire here.
James has been working for us at Mitchell’s for a couple years now,
and he is one of the nicest kids we’ve had working for us ever. I was
shocked and dismayed to learn about the fire and his losses.
Someone inquired about a paypal account to send donations to his
family, and I am using the Mitchell’s paypal account to do this.
Every penny sent to this account will be given to James and his
family as they try to rebuild after their losses. Send any donations
to the paypal address of appleseed@mitchells.com. Make sure to label
the donation for James Keenan.
Yo-Yo Nation has also put up this Ebay auction, were ever dollar over $50 will go to James.
One of the things I love about this community is the way we pull
together when a crisis hits one of us. You just don’t see that in all
communities.
James also needs any clothing you might want to spare, his sizes are: medium sized shirts, jeans that are between 30×32 to 32×32, shoes size 11-12
You can send him clothes directly to:
James Keenan IV (its important to put IV else James III will think
its his!)

Just got this neat e-mail from GReg @ Yo-Yo Guy.com:
They adapt a FHZ and many Duncan yo-yos, as well as other yo-yos that use a 4mm bolt.
The kit comes with two threaded axles of different lengths, two FHZ Stack
nuts and four shims. Since plastic yo-yos are slightly inconstant,
depending on the yo-yo you have, you may need to use one of the shims
under each the nuts to allow the stacks to spin properly.
This kit adapts a FHZ to take YoYoFactory hubstacks. The kit does not come
with stacks, o-rings, or the two size A bearings that the stacks need to
work. Those are available separately, or can be scavenged from an existing
YoYoFactory yo-yo. A perfect way to use the parts you have left when you
upgraded the stacks on your YoYoFactory yo-yo.
(Note: the standard short stack works best, the long stacks are just too
long for this yo-yo).
This kit was manufactured with permission of YoYoFactory. (Thanks to Ben
and Hans)
The kit will be $9.99 as should come out in the next week. You will be
able to find it at YoYoGuy.com

Pretty interesting anodizing job done on these new Egos. BIO has taken a few grams off of the rim to take care of the “flat spots”. We first saw the pre-production run at Nationals 2006 with terrible dollar signs but I am impressed with the direction that the yo-yo has taken. My fellow yoyo2 blogger Seth Peterson designed this yo-yo for BIO however he has informed me that his name will not be printed on the production run, he didn’t give us any further details but I’m sure we can all guess the correct answer with our arms tied behind our backs. I was disappointed (as I always am) that the Ego uses a sticker response but I am relieved to hear that they are using Paul Yath Ghost Pads. I can’t wait to try it.

Check out some of the reviews on this post at Yo-Yo Nation.
