Caribou Lodge Yo-Yo Works has just announced its 2nd yo-yo, “Bear Vs. Man”. This is a design conceptualized by Boyd Seth and has been a long time coming.

These babies have Yo-Yo Factory large Dorothy Bearings and silicone response. The shape is also a diversion from current aluminum yo-yo trends. Instead of making the butterfly as wide as possible, the B vs M has a smooth curve that looks like it will sit nicely in the hand.

One thing I really like about this is that it’s Boyd’s Signature Model, thus Boyd has designed this to HIS tastes. One thing that really stands out is the fact that the B vs M doesn’t have a fat thumb grind lip (note: thumb grinds are still possible). Boyd doesn’t do thumb grind style tricks, so why have that feature in HIS yo-yo?

Titi Freak has been all over this year. Earlier he was in New York City for a large graffiti exhibition, now hes in Japan for the opening of a gallery exhibit of his work. If your in the Osaka area any time soon check out the gallery, more info here.
Yo-Yo Factory has just announced their newest version of the G5 series, The Grind Machine 2.

This is a wider version of the original G5. Weight is at a nice 66 grams.

The profile is what’s really exciting to me. I dig the G5 concept but the shape just didn’t do it for me. Now with a wider body, I think I’m going to finally have to break down and buy one. Or two.
There is also a lot of cool information on some of Yo-Yo Factory’s future plans. Read all about it HERE. *details are still being finalized*
HSpin has a new face for their site. And some news, including a very long list of rules they require for any sponsorship they give. It’s great for companies to set up what they want out of their sponsorships. But I was kind of disappointed to see this:
“HSPIN does not sponsor auto-judged (”contestant-judged”) events without a dedicated team of judges”
Looks like a lot of smaller contests (including Iowa States, which HSpin has sponsored in the past) wont be getting the support they’ve previously been given. I’d hope that HSpin will reconsider this rule and possibly set up a way for peer-judged contests to still gain sponsorship.

They also dropped these pictures of a limited edition Pyro. Very nice look. Speaking of limited editions, HSpin also anounced that they will be making custom runs of 50+ yo-yos for special orders. Read all the info here

HICOO has started to test it’s newest yo-yo, the Leo.

HICOO has been coming up with pretty neat packaging, The Leo’s in no exception.

This is the most interesting picture… It’s a profile comparison of the Leo and (I’m assuming) a black Yo-Yo Factory G5. I’m glad to see that the Leo isn’t a completely blatant rip-off of the G5 shape.
Check out all the other pictures here.

You may have seen Paul Han with this awesomely offensive hoodie at Worlds. Now you can be equally edgy, and trendy with Fucking Awesomes newest hoodies.
Check out the new hoodies (and tee shirts) over at Live Stock. Around $120 shipped to the US (prices are in canadian dollars). Can’t beat that.

Well, as Kiya said in this post, He and Sonny are pretty busy with Anti-Yo. For there 2nd installment of the Anti-Deck series, the influential yo-yoer will be Steve Brown (the first being Paul Escolar).
Great overall theme. Can’t wait for this to drop at Yo-Yo Nation
